Atelier Avocado

Atelier Avocado, which features women's custom clothing, will preview its fall collection on Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, from 1 to 5 p.m., in its studio at 1145 Merrill St. in Menlo Park, across from the train station.
Free Tai Chi class

The Sequoias retirement community in Portola Valley is inviting community members to join a free class in Tai Chi on Tuesdays at 1:15 p.m., taught by Foothill College instructor Dona Marriott.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercises and movements that can help people improve balance, become more calm, and lower blood pressure. For information, call Jennifer Harris at 424-4427.
