Alpine Menlo Sting girls came in second at the Peninsula Shoot Out Tournament, held August 20 and 21 in Foster City.

The is the second tournament for the team, which was founded two years ago. Last fall the team rated a first place in the District Cup Tournament.

The girls are coached by Christina Bell, a former CyberRay player, and Cris Gilmore, who played professional soccer overseas.
