Alain Pinel Realtors has added two sales associates to its Menlo Park office. They are Lori Satzger and Cynthia Sewell.

Ms. Satzger is president of the Felton Gables Homeowners' Association and volunteers in the Menlo Park City School District. Most recently, she sold advertising in the western United States for a high-tech consumer publication.

Cynthia Sewell, a resident of Menlo Park and Atherton since 1991, is returning to the workforce after raising two daughters. She formerly worked for a large trading company in San Francisco, specializing in the Asia Pacific region. She is a volunteer in the Menlo Park City School District and has served as a court-appointed special advocate in San Mateo County, helping children placed in state custody.

Alain Pinel has leased a second Menlo Park office at 1550 El Camino Real that will accommodate 38 sales associates, staff and administrators, the company says. The original Alain Pinel office is at 620 Santa Cruz Ave. in Menlo Park, and has a staff of 68.
Raffle sets record at Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Northern California has raised $420,000 for Habitat for Humanity with its "Million Dollar Dream" raffle held throughout the company's 65 Northern California offices. This is the sixth year for the raffle, which has now raised $1.2 for Habitat for Humanity.

Since 1999, Coldwell Banker employees, working side by side with low-income families, have taken part in building 29 homes in the Habitat for Humanity program.
LeadRouters wins innovation award

A technology product known as LeadRouter, which immediately converts online and e-mail messages to voice calls for Coldwell Banker sales associates, has won an award for innovative use of technology, Coldwell Banker has announced.

The Cendant Corp. product won the Inman Innovator Award, along with Google's new Google Earth Web site, at a recent Real Estate Connect conference in San Francisco.

Coldwell Banker said it uses LeadRouter to more quickly respond to inquires made via Web site and e-mail. The software converts Internet text and e-mail inquires into an automated voice call that is routed to sales associates' cell phones within seconds, the company said.
Plant-health scientist joins tree-care firm

The Menlo Park tree-care company known as the Care of Trees recently announced that Saleem Soomro joined the company as a plant health care scientist.

He will help the company evaluate and treat diseased trees on residential, commercial and industrial properties, the company said. The Care of Trees has its West Coast headquarters in Menlo Park.
