Menlo Park-based MP Strikers Girls FC 93G White soccer team took first place in a District Cup Tournament held November 20 in Morgan Hill.

The team defeated Santa Clara Sporting in a game that went to penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation.

Lindsay Hale scored the first goal in regulation and Naomi Pacalin, Alex Tom and Megan Hinshaw found the back of the net on penalty kicks for a final score of 4-2.

The team is a girls under 12 Division 3 team in the Mid-Peninsula Strikers Futball Club.

Team members are Megan Hinshaw, Alex Tom, Naomi Pacalin, Diane Masket, Catherine Carpenter, Michaela Hutter, Lindsey Garagozzo, Charlotte Sewell, Sara Orton, Lindsay Keare, Sarah Daschbach, Lindsay Hale, Marjory Marquardt and Selin Kutlu.

The coach is Jason Luce. The assistant coach is Laurent Pacalin. Team manager is Leslie Wambach.

The Strikers will hold tryouts for many of its teams on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11 at Burgess Field in Menlo Park.
