New hours for DMV offices New hours for DMV offices (December 28, 2005)

As of January 1, all Department of Motor Vehicle offices will be open from 8 to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

In addition, 53 locations, including Redwood City, will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month.

The DMV is no longer closed on Mondays. For a list of services and specific branch hours, go online to dmv.ca.gov.
