To accommodate holiday shoppers and visitors to Menlo Park, the city is relaxing parking restrictions as it does each year at this time.

Through Monday, January 2, police won't ticket cars that are parked downtown beyond the one or two-hour limits.

Also, the overnight parking ordinance that applies throughout the city won't be enforced until Monday, January 2.

All other parking laws will be enforced, police say.
City facilities closed January 2

The Menlo Park city facilities in the Civic Center -- including the Town Hall, library and recreation center -- will be closed Monday, January 2.
Council meetings are cancelled

The Menlo Park City Council will not meet on December 27 and January 3.

The next council meeting will be January 10 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the Civic Center.
