Willow Road market robbed at gunpoint Willow Road market robbed at gunpoint (January 04, 2006)

Two hooded men armed with semi-automatic handguns walked into the Pacific Asian Market at 850 Willow Road in Menlo Park at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, stole $600 in cash, then escaped on foot into the neighborhood via Chester Street, according to Menlo Park police.

Two customers were in the store at the time, but no one was injured in the incident, said police Sgt. Van Trask. The men told everyone not to move and quickly relieved the clerk and his cash register of about $500 and a woman of her purse and about $100, police said.

Police are looking for two men of Pacific Islander heritage and accents, last seen wearing black jeans and black sweatshirts. One suspect is described as about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. The other is about 5 feet 2 inches and thin.

Anyone with information are asked to call 330-6300 and ask for the Investigations Department.
