A memorial Mass for William "Bill" R. Conwell, a member of the Atherton City Council for 19 years who served as mayor last year, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, at St. Raymond Catholic Church, 1100 Santa Cruz Ave. in Menlo Park.

Mr. Conwell died December 25 at his Atherton home.

A reception at the Menlo Circus Club at 190 Park Lane in Atherton will be held immediately following the services.

A vigil will be held at St. Raymond at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 19.
