The CYSA Alpine Menlo Soccer Club Girls Under 10 team is looking for a few more quality players for the spring season. To be eligible, girls must have a birth date of August 1, 1995, or later.

The team is coached by Chris Gilmore and Christina Bell, both in charge of five teams within the Alpine Soccer Club, and Marie McCann.

Boys' soccer: M-A edges Menlo School

Menlo-Atherton defeated Menlo School 3-2 on January 18. Andrew Smith scored all three goals for M-A: a header from a corner kick, a shot from 20 yards out when he found himself one-on-one with the goalie, and another header from a throw-in near the goal line. M-A's record is three wins and fives losses in league play, and six wins and seven losses overall. Beto Luna is the coach. Report by Ken Smith of M-A.
