Santa’s coming to a new firehouse this year.

On Wednesday, December 13, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Woodside Fire Protection District is set to hold its annual holiday open house at all three fire stations, as usual. What’s new is that the just-completed station 19 on Jefferson Avenue in Emerald Hills will be open, and the special guest is Chief Mike Fuge, who recently retired after a 42-year career as a Woodside firefighter.

Cookies, hot cocoa, a visit from Santa and shiny red fire engines will be featured at all three stations.

Station 7 is located at 3111 Woodside Road in Woodside; station 8 is at 135 Portola Road in Portola Valley; and the new station 19 is at 4091 Jefferson Ave.
