The agency that oversees the high-speed rail project has released a report summarizing comments it received from local governments, agencies, and residents, in regard to the section of the proposed route from San Jose to San Francisco.

The 75-page scoping report divides the comments received into 10 topics, including concerns over property acquisition, the rail line’s alignment, and coordination with other transit systems.

The report is preliminary to the release of the environmental impact report, expected to be completed in 2010. That report will identify the potential impact of one or several design configurations on the surrounding environment.
