Pacific Gas & Electric Co. crews repaired a broken gas main on College Ave. in Menlo Park on Thursday, PG&E reported.

PG&E received a report at about 10:30 a.m. that a 2-inch steel gas line had ruptured at 839 College Ave., spokeswoman Nicole Liebelt said.

The rupture was repaired by mid-afternoon and did not affect any customers, she said. No evacuations were necessary.

Menlo Park police and fire officials responded as well and blocked off a portion of the street.
