A memorial is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, for friends and relatives of Craig Johnson, the entrepreneurial Portola Valley attorney who died unexpectedly on Sept. 29 at the age of 62.

The event will be held at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center at 326 Galvez St. on the campus of Stanford University.

A bike ride that takes in some of Mr. Johnson’s regular rides, including Arastradero Road and the Portola Valley loop, begins at noon Sunday at the Alumni Center and ends there in time for the memorial. Bike clothes are encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, relatives are asking that donations be made to the Craig Winfield Johnson Foundation. Make checks payable to Silicon Valley Community Foundation for the Benefit of the Craig Winfield Johnson Memorial Fund. Send checks to 2440 W. El Camino Real, Ste 300, Mountain View, CA 94040.
