How 'Psycho' changed things


Film critic David Thomson will discuss his new book, "The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Kepler's bookstore, 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.

An English-American writer, David Thomson is the author of many books on film, including "Have You Seen...? A Personal Introduction to 1,000 Films" and the "Biographical Dictionary of Film." He lives in San Francisco.
