Willow Road gas station robbed at gunpoint

Police are looking for two men who robbed a Willow Road gas station at gunpoint around 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, and fled in a waiting vehicle.

Two masked men, one of them displaying a handgun, entered the Union 76 gas station at 710 Willow Road and demanded that the employees give them the money in the cash register, according to Sgt. Kevin Paugh of the Menlo Park Police Department.

The station was open for business at the time of the robbery, but no one was injured during the incident, police said.

The men ran from the station on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and headed south on O'Keefe Street to Arnold Avenue, where a witness reported seeing them enter a waiting vehicle driven by a third suspect, police said. The vehicle immediately left the area.

Officers from Menlo Park and East Palo Alto searched but did not locate either the suspects or their vehicle.

According to the police report, the two suspects who entered the gas station are black and in their late teens to early 20s, with thin builds. Both were wearing dark pants and hooded sweatshirts. One man is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and the other is 6 feet tall.

Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to call 330-6300 or the anonymous tip line at 330-6395.
