Saturday: Healthful eating for kids

Psychologist Annye Rothenberg, a former Portola Valley resident, will answer questions at a signing for her book, "I Like to Eat Treats," from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Sigona's Market, 2345 Middlefield Road in Redwood City.

She has written a two-part book: first, a story that reaches young children, and, second, a guidebook for parents teaching the steps to take to get young children to want healthful food. Practical advice deals with picky eaters, junk food eaters, overeaters, and how to get kids to stay at the table. For more information, call 364-4466.

Parents you need to realize that no kid requires Ritalin, Aderol, Zoloft or whatever! All they need is proper nutrition and sleep, which are a little more complex to attain than most parents imagine
