Sun exec announces resignation on Twitter

Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz took to Twitter to announce the end of his time with Sun -- in the form of a haiku, no less.

"Financial crisis/Stalled too many customers/CEO no more," Mr. Schwartz wrote late Wednesday night from his account, OpenJonathan, saying that Wednesday was his last day with the company.

Sun has a sprawling campus in Menlo Park, at the end of Willow Road. On Jan. 27, Oracle announced the completion of its acquisition of Sun.

Oracle chief executive Larry Ellison, a Woodside resident, reportedly told the New York Times that he had expected Mr. Schwartz to resign once the merger was approved.
