An artists' reception for the 2010 Female Gaze Art Exhibit at the Caldwell Gallery, located in the county Hall of Justice in Redwood City, is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 4.

The exhibit is sponsored by the San Mateo County Commission on the Status of Women, the county's Arts Commission, and the Peninsula Arts Council. The artwork will be on display through April.

Supervisor Carole Groom will speak at the awards ceremony, which will honor artists Christine Crockett, Kim McCool Nelson, and Doris Arrington.

Light refreshments will be served. Attendance at the reception is free, but reservations are requested and may be made by contacting Brenda Bennett at 599-1393 or bbennett@co.sanmateo.ca.us.

The Hall of Justice is at 400 County Center, at the corner of Bradford and Hamilton streets.
