Broom pull Saturday in Portola Valley

Broom, the invasive weed with the innocuous name, is the target in Portola Valley tomorrow (March 6), for the annual broom pull.

Volunteers are being asked to gather at the Historic Schoolhouse at 765 Portola Road at 9 a.m. for three hours of weeding. On previous broom pulls, the town has supplied gloves and weeding tools.

Call Conservation Committee member Marge DeStaebler at 851-1693 for more information.
