Saturday: Talk on history of Hoover Library

Nick Siekierski will outline the history of the founding of the library of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and highlight some famous "treasures" from its archives at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, in the Fireside Room at Burgess Recreation Center, 700 Alma St. in Menlo Park.

Mr. Siekierski is the exhibits and outreach archivist at the Hoover Library. His presentation is inspired by the current archival exhibit on display at the Hoover Institution, where photographs, posters, documents, books, and memorabilia mark the institution's 90th anniversary.

The free program is supported by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library. Free van service to the program is available for Menlo Park seniors and people with disabilities. To schedule transportation, call 330-2512.
