March 11: Workshop on creative writing


Author and editor Phyllis Filiberti Butler of Menlo Park will lead a four-week creative writing workshop at Little House, 800 Middle Ave. in Menlo Park, beginning Thursday, March 11.

The workshop will cover the writing of personal memoir, family history, short stories, and creative nonfiction, Ms. Butler says.

The sessions begin at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for Little House members and $30 for nonmembers.

Ms. Butler is the author of "Valley of Santa Clara," a review of the Valley's architectural heritage. Her articles have been published in a number of newspapers, including the San Francisco Chronicle, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Jose Mercury News.
