Community emergency response (CERT) teams from the San Mateo County Health System will go door to door Thursday, March 11, delivering earthquake preparedness information from 9 a.m. to noon.
Working within the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, CERT volunteers will practice their readiness to provide emergency assistance. The drill will simulate door-to-door distribution of medicine in the event of a major health emergency, such as a pandemic influenza, or a food or water-bourn illness.
The emergency drill, known as Silver Dragon IV, will try to reach 10,000 households in three hours.
