Friday at Kepler's: Daughter knows best

Father and daughter Kevin and Hannah Salwen will talk about and sign their new book, "The Power of Half: One Family's Decision to Stop Taking and Start Giving Back," at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Kepler's books, 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.

When Hannah was 14, she instigated a family project to live with less and donate the rest to charity.

The family sold their extravagant Atlanta home, moved to one half its size, and donated the other half of the proceeds to The Hunger Project.

Mr. Salwen is a former reporter and editor for the Wall Street Journal.
