Today: Bluegrass festival kicks off

A free bluegrass festival, with concerts and films, will kick off in Redwood City today (March 11).

The Bluegrass on Broadway Festival offers events through Sunday, beginning with an Opening Night Jam from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Cafe Sportivo, located at 965 Brewster Ave., event officials said.

The festival is being produced by a collaboration of the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, the Redwood City Public Library, the Redwood City Friends of the Library, the Tapestry Church, as well as local businesses and individuals.
