Elections: Filing period extended for some races

There's still time to throw your hat in the ring. The filing period for several county-wide offices on the June ballot is extended until March 17 in races with no incumbent running.

The filing period is extended for the offices of San Mateo County district attorney, superintendent of schools, treasurer-tax collector, and assessor-county clerk-recorder. For other offices with incumbents running, the filing period closed Friday, March 12.
