Two local residents held a fundraiser Saturday, March 13, that netted $8,000 for the campaign of Kamala Harris, a candidate for California attorney general.

Menlo Park resident Rashmi Goel and Portola Valley resident T.M. Ravi hosted the Bollywood-themed event, which included a performance by an Indian dance group. About 40 Bay Area residents attended, according to Ms. Goel.

This turned out to be a great event. Kamala Harris gave a very inspiring speech. G.C's cafe did an outstanding job with the event. Also thanks to Dance Identity and Ashyka Dave for donating their time and thrilling the audience with their performances.
