Tonight at Kepler's: 'So Much for That'

Lionel Shriver will read from a new novel about two families caught in the gears of the American health care system, "So Much for That," at 7:30 p.m. tonight (March 15) at Kepler's bookstore in Menlo Park.

In a review of the book, Michiko Kakutani of the New York Times writes that Ms. Shriver has "managed to take an idea for a kind of thesis novel and instead create a deeply affecting portrait of two marriages, two families, as cancer in one case and a rare, debilitating childhood condition in the other threaten to push their daily lives past their tipping points."

Kepler's is located at 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. Click here for a calendar of upcoming events.
