Two suspects arrested in shooting at Boys & Girls Club field in East Palo Alto

Police arrested two suspects Friday and are looking for a third person of interest in a shooting at the Boys & Girls Club football field in East Palo Alto earlier this week.

At about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, two men were shot while watching a women's rugby game at the field, located in the 900 block of O'Connor Street.

A 22-year-old man was shot several times in the torso and taken to a local hospital, police said. A 28-year-old was also shot in the lower extremities and took himself to a hospital.

Both men were expected to survive.

At about 10:15 a.m. Friday, the East Palo Alto Police Department and San Mateo County Probations Department arrested two suspects in the incident.

They were booked in the San Mateo County jail in Redwood City.

Good work, police officers! I hope the 3rd "person of interest" gets caught very soon.
