Mountain lion spotted in Woodside

A mountain lion was spotted Sunday morning in Woodside, according to the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services.

The animal was seen at around 11:15 a.m. in the vicinity of 155 Roan Place walking into the Teague Hill Open Space Preserve.

Residents are advised not to approach mountain lions, and to try to appear large and make noise if one is nearby. The cats are most active at dawn, dusk and at night.
