M-A High freshman Trent Benedick attains Eagle Scout rank

Trent C. Benedick, a freshman at Menlo-Atherton High School, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Troy is a member of Troop 215 of the Pacific Skyline Council, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Trent's Court of Honor was held Dec. 6 in the church annex, where Menlo Park council member John Boyle presented him with a certificate of recognition from the city.

Trent's project was to sand and stain 51 lunch tables at Hillview Middle School in Menlo Park, with the help of 45 co-workers. The project took a total of 233 hours.

He is the son of Susan and Bruce Benedick of Menlo Park.
