Sunday: Book sale at the library

Books ranging from mystery and literature, to travel and art, to kids' books and cookbooks will be on sale Sunday, May 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Menlo Park Library.

The "mini-sale" is sponsored by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library, and proceeds benefit library programs and events.

Tim Goode of the Friends said the sale will feature "summer reading" books in addition to collectible editions, foreign language, religion and history books.

Home chefs should note that the Friends' cookbook collection has recently benefited from "a high quality and number of donations," Mr. Goode said.

Most books will be 50 cents to a dollar.

The sale will be held in the library's downstairs meeting room. The library is at 800 Alma St.
