Sunday: 'War" author Junger speaks at Kepler's

Sebastian Junger, the New York Times bestselling author of "The Perfect Storm," will speak at Kepler's bookstore at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, on his latest book, "War," an account of his accompanying a single platoon through a 15-month tour of duty in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley.

"War" looks at "the reality of combat -- the fear, the honor, and the trust among men in an extreme situation," the publisher says.

Mr. Junger is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair magazine, and has been awarded a National Magazine Award and an SAIS Novartis Prize for journalism.

Kepler's is at 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.
