Solar charge

Marissa Muller of Woodside, shown here in Sharon Hills Park in Menlo Park, recently completed a 14-high-school tour throughout California to solicit ideas from kids and spread the word of the coming of age of solar power, with herself as an object lesson.

She rode an electric bicycle with the intent, sometimes realized, of recharging with solar panels mounted on a towed cart. The tour included a stop at Woodside High School.
