Obituary: school crossing guard for 25 years


Charles W. Kneubuhl, a 55-year resident of Menlo Park, died June 24 in an extended care home in Menlo Park. He was 90 years old.

Mr. Kneubuhl was a well-recognized figure in Menlo Park and in Redwood City, having worked as a school crossing guard for 25 years in both towns. Before that, he worked as a tool room machinist for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; and his son and daughter-in-law, David and Chris of Redwood City.

A Mass was celebrated June 30 at St. Raymond Church in Menlo Park. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
