Saturday: Great songs from shows that failed

The Menlo Park Library will present "Great Songs from Shows that Failed" with American musical theater expert Joe Marchi at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, in the library's downstairs meeting room.

The program will feature recorded songs that became famous, despite the fact that the shows failed.

In 1984, Mr. Marchi established the Center for the American Musical at Canada College, where he was a professor and assistant dean of students. He is a member of the San Francisco Theater Bay Area Critics Circle.

The program is supported by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library. Free van service is available for Menlo Park seniors and those with disabilities. For more information, or to schedule transportation, call 330-2512.
