Menlo's SRI renews cyber security contract

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded a $9.7 million contract to SRI International, a research and development company based in Menlo Park.

The contract, according to a press release issued on Tuesday (Sept. 28) by SRI, allows the company to continue expertise and support to the cyber security branch of the federal agency.

SRI has worked with DHS on cyber security since 2004. Project director Ulf Lindqvist said the company was "very pleased to have been selected to continue our role in this important program addressing cyber security of critical systems."Some of those systems include finance, oil, and gas infrastructures, the press release stated.
