Saturday: 'Autumn at Filoli'

Families are welcome at the annual "Autumn at Filoli" festival to be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the historic Woodside estate.

Activities will include live music, docent-led nature hikes, "Happy Birds" shows, puppet and magic shows, face painting, and a supervised area of outdoor games and activities for children.

There will be fruit tastings of rare pears, apples and grapes from Filoli's orchard. Docent-led tours of the orchard, which contains more than 650 varieties of heirloom fruit, will continue throughout the day.

Go to Filoli.org for more information and online ticket purchase, or call 364-8300, ext. 508, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
