Tonight: Author Michael Chabon

 

Author Michael Chabon will discuss his book, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay," at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 600 N. Delaware St. in San Mateo.

The free event is part of the Peninsula Library System's fifth annual "One Book, One Community" event, which calls attention to books and reading. There will be free events throughout libraries in San Mateo County during October.

The program at the Woodside Library Book Club will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 5, The library is at 3140 Woodside Road in Woodside. For information, call 851-0147.
