Hit-and-run driver pleads no contest

The driver who hit a motorcyclist in Menlo Park, then fled the scene despite the victim begging for help, pleaded no contest Tuesday (Oct. 19) to felony hit-and-run in San Mateo Superior Court.

The victim suffered a broken back.

Police arrested Eric Olvera Nieto, 21, at his girlfriend's home in Ripon, after he ran from the Oct. 4 accident scene. According to the district attorney's office, Mr. Nieto rear-ended the motorcycle at a red light, throwing the victim onto the hood of the car.

Mr. Nieto was unlicensed, and fled because he was in the United States illegally, said the district attorney's office. He remains in custody on $50,000 bail, and will be sentenced on Dec. 3.

Another "Undocumented Alien" filling up our jails. Where are we going to put our own US citizens who break the law? When are we going to get "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"?
ICE- start doing your job and deport all the illegals.

It's funny that most undocumented people work for Republicans.

Republicans love them, as cheaper labor means more money to spend on a 3rd car for their 16 year old brat.

You got that right! Maybe instead of 'illegals', we should call them 'Megaditos', after their 'illegal sponsors '!
