Bicyclist injured in Woodside hit-and-run

Driver seen heading south in nrothbound lanes of Interstate Highway 280

A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run with a wrong-way driver in Woodside early Friday morning (Nov. 19), a fire battalion chief said.

According to preliminary California Highway Patrol reports, a white SUV struck the male bicyclist on an off-ramp from Interstate 280 to state Highway 84 at about 5:55 a.m.

The vehicle was seen headed south in the northbound lanes on I-280, Woodside Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Dan Ghiorso said.

The bicyclist was conscious and talking at the scene, Ghiorso said.
