Sunday: Woodside church hosts 'pudding party'


The Woodside Village Church is hosting its annual Plum Pudding Party at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the Courtyard (In Guild Hall if it rains).

The event provides plum puddings, cupcakes for the kids, hot cider, coffee and hot chocolate, and lots of Christmas carol singing, said church spokesperson Barbara Tagg.

A treat for all ages will be a chance to play carols on hand chimes before Santa arrives with goodies for the kids.

Vic Frederick, a longtime Woodside resident, stops shaving each fall and grows a beard that, by Christmas time, is "considerable and transforms him into a Santa with a real, live beard," she said.

The church is at 3195 Woodside Road in Woodside.
