Holiday hours at Town Hall

The Town Halls of Woodside and Portola Valley will be closed for the holiday season during this week -- Dec. 27 through Dec. 31 -- and will reopen for normal business on Monday morning, Jan. 3, officials from both towns have said.

Town Hall opens at 8 a.m. in Woodside and at 8:30 a.m. in Portola Valley.

The public libraries in both towns will be closed on New Year's Day and, for "cost savings," on the day before and the day after the holiday, Dec. 31 and Jan 2, according to the website of the San Mateo County Library.

The Woodside and Portola Valley libraries are two of the 12 member communities of the county library system.
