Vehicle break-in, theft in Ladera

Ladera was struck with two vehicle-related property crimes on Tuesday, March 8, according to a report from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

In an auto burglary in the 100 block of Erica Way, someone broke into a vehicle and stole an Apple iPod Touch, deputies said. There are no leads.

In a theft on the same day, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of La Cuesta Drive and stole a purse with a credit card in it. That card was then used at an area gas station to make several purchases, deputies said.
