Menlo man arrested in alleged home drug deal

Nine pounds of marijuana, a large amount of U.S. currency and a firearm seized, police report

A Menlo Park man was arrested Monday at his home on Terminal Avenue for possession and sales of marijuana and committing a felony while armed with a firearm, according to a press release from the Menlo Park Police Department.

The man, 59-year-old Steven Pine, was found to be in possession of "well over" nine pounds of marijuana, a large amount of U.S. currency and a firearm, according to the release.

The police department's Narcotic Enforcement Team observed a drug transaction in a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Terminal Avenue. The persons in the vehicle, questioned at a traffic stop, admitted purchasing the large amount of marijuana in their possession from Mr. Pine's nearby residence.

Mr. Pine was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
