Sunday: Major authors at PVs fundraising event

Simon Winchester, Bo Caldwell and Barry Eisler are among authors participating in the Peninsula Volunteers Inc. 20th annual Authors Salon luncheon on Sunday, April 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fourth Street Summit Center in San Jose.

The event, held in partnership with Kepler's Books in Menlo Park, is a fundraiser for Peninsula Volunteers, a pioneer in providing senior services in the Menlo Park area for more than 60 years.

Robert Hirst, editor of the Mark Twain Project, featuring the recently released "Autobiography of Mark Twain, Vol. 1," is also on the bill.

Authors will join in a panel discussion, and books will be available to purchase and have signed by the authors.

A portion of the $95 ticket is tax-deductible.
