The Rosewood Sand Hill hotel and spa in Menlo Park is sweetening its annual Easter Sunday celebration with the characters of the Angry Birds video game.

The scowling fowl will appear as large-scale pastry creations at the hotel's holiday festivities, a spokesperson said.

Hotel pastry chef Emmanuel Fimbrez's creations will be on display at the library for all to see.

The hotel, located at Sand Hill Road and Interstate 280, will also offer a petting zoo and visits with the Easter Bunny, open to the community as well as hotel guests.

The petting zoo, open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the hotel lawn, will feature ducks, chickens, goats, pot-bellied pigs, sheep and rabbits. Petting zoo donations will be given to the Palo Alto Humane Society.

Madera restaurant at Rosewood will serve a four-course menu for $68 per person. A children's version of the menu is half price. Each child will receive a miniature Easter Basket. Call 561-1500 for more information.
