Today: Rich Gordon holds town hall meeting

State Assemblyman Rich Gordon, whose district includes Menlo Park, Atherton, Woodside and Portola Valley, is holding a town-hall-style meeting from 10:30 to noon Saturday, May 21, in Redwood City at the county government offices at 455 County Center.

Among the topics Mr. Gordon plans to address:

■ Local effects from K-12 education spending in the state budget for 2011-12.

■ Pension reform for government employees.

■ Proposed tax extensions, and the possible closure of state parks, including Portola Redwoods, Henry W. Coe, and Castle Rock state parks, all of which are relatively nearby.
