Tonight: Antarctica vet talks of climate change

Canaries in the coal mine, that's how Woodside resident and Antarctica habitue Rob Flint assesses the rapid and unprecedented changes going on at the North and South poles, and he will talk about it at 7 p.m. Monday, May 23, in the Guild Hall at the Woodside Village Church.

Mr. Flint's talk, "An Antarctic Life: Penguins, Life on the Ice, and Climate Change," will include photos from his 10 trips to the South Pole over 38 years, including three winter trips.

The event is Woodside's fifth Green Presentation, a program by the town's Conservation & Environmental Health Committee.

The Village Church is located at 3154 Woodside Road. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
