Today is last day to vote for favorite shops, services

Almanac readers are a discerning lot, and that's why we turn to their expertise each year as we search for their favorite shops, services and restaurants.

From contractors to Chinese food, dry cleaners to dentists, we're asking you to single out your favorite places to eat, shop, buy services and have fun.

The deadline to vote is July 3.

Visit to access the online ballot.

New this year is a ballot for mobile devices that can be accessed by scanning the QR code in the Readers' Choice ad in the Almanac newspaper.

Vote for at least five categories by July 3. Be sure to activate your ballot by responding to a confirmation email, and you will be entered into a prize drawing. Prize winners will be contacted via email after voting ends July 3.

If you can't find your favorites in the drop-down menus, submit them as write-in votes. Write-in votes help new businesses qualify for next year's ballot.

Love Phils Treasure Pot right by the post office in down town Menlo Park. If you haven't eaten there try it before you vote. The owner works it pretty much 24/7

Is the Almanac turning a bit old school chauvinistic with category headers such as Johnny Cash (Retail) and Men at Work (Services)?
Women do own and work at businesses and they also shop.
