Sunday: Otter Run benefits Oak Knoll School

Oak Knoll Elementary School in Menlo Park invites children and adults to participate in its 17th annual Otter Run and Family Fun Run on Sunday, June 5.

The event will begin with an 8 a.m. warm-up and an 8:30 start time at 1895 Oak Knoll Lane.

Participants will run a 1.5-mile loop or run the loop twice for the professionally timed 5K race.

Strollers and joggers are welcome; however, no bikes, skates or dogs are permitted at the event, according to event organizers.

Children who complete one loop will receive a finisher's ribbon, while those who finish two loops will compete for prizes from FleetFeet Menlo Park and medals for their age category.

Participants will also receive a T-shirt or bib, which will be available for pickup at Oak Knoll on Friday, June 3, from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., and on race day starting at 7 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Oak Knoll Parent Teacher Organization.

Participants can register in person at Oak Knoll on June 3 and on the day of the event. Registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 18 and under.
